There's a reason Tobin "TC" Costen can easily mingle within a diverse crowd. He grew up in an environment where networking became second nature. Born in Fort Hood, Texas, he spent 13 years in Germany as an army brat. With a bachelor's degree in Communications and Marketing from Gonzaga University and an MBA from Holy Names University, he's been able to utilize his teaching, business management and marketing experience in various ways.
From a Music State of Mind
Some people enjoy music. Other people dissect artists from newbie to notoriety. Tobin "TC" Costen fits into the latter category.
While Costen was in college, he met Percy "Master P" Miller during the beginning stages of No Limit Records. TC left his distribution job at a publishing company and moved on to becoming the Vice President and General Manager of the record label. His duties at No Limit Records included finding and signing artists, and global promotions.
In 1998, Costen created his own label Me & Mine Entertainment and signed Short Stop label owner and artist Lil’ Troy. The label gained instant success with the hit record “Wanna Be a Baller” from the platinum album "Sitting Fat Down South" (ranked number 13 on Billboard's top 200 albums).

From Publication to Completion
In the late '90s, Costen started the critically acclaimed magazine "Hip Hop Vs the World." He successfully managed the magazine until its completion deal and purchase from Rider Publishing.
The Cum Laude graduate from Gonzaga University was already no stranger to writing or publishing. His thesis, "African Americans in Broadcast Journalism," examined America's majority population and attitudes towards Black culture, the legacy of racial segregation in journalism, and how the effects of integration in journalism changed the media's look at African-American culture and business accomplishments.
The Here and Now
Currently, Costen is a business instructor of Marketing, Business Management, and Finance at Holy Names University. The San Francisco Bay area resident is also a manager for one of the western divisions of a textile recycling facility.
